COLBIE'S SOUTHERN KISSED CHICKEN - WHAT’S IN A NAME?
COLBIE’S SOUTHERN KISSED CHICKEN – WHAT’S IN A NAME?
As you may have noticed in viewing this project there’s something of an identity crisis going on. This restaurant concept is named Colbie’s Southern Kissed Chicken but it didn’t start out that way. The original concept name was Dixie Chix and for reasons too numerous to get into in this forum, the original working title was left behind for this more contemporary moniker. And while the name changed completely, the design didn’t so until we get a chance to update these visuals we appreciate your indulgence in viewing this as Colbie’s Southern Kissed Chicken.
FARM TO TABLE FAST CASUAL
Colbie’s is setting a new trend in Chicken and their farm to table ideology is just the beginning. To live up to this elevated chicken experience BSR collaborated closely with the client to deliver a real cut above fast casual. Beveled subway tiles adorn the exhibition kitchen and hot rolled steel counters with native Cyprus wood counter fronts set an enlightened tone. Brick wallscapes are adorned with ghost sign branding and industrial painted steel girder works soar above with custom light fixtures and festoons filling the space in between. The exterior spaces are equally inviting and there’s even an on-site smoker cranking out low and slow smoked deliciousness all day long!
RESTAURANT DESIGN REPEAT
BSR designed the Colbie’s – Southern Kissed Chicken concept to be completely repeatable. That means all of the furnishings, materials, finishes and decor are already component-ized to be customizable, scaleable and easily repeatable in almost any new construction or vanilla shell space.
